Spencer's Latest Story
As we all know, Spencer is VERY creative. He has been reading the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, which I believe is the basis for this story. His teacher wrote on his paper that Spencer's was her favorite story. Here is the story he turned in to his teacher, word-for-word, including his spelling: :) "One day I was walking along and I found a small, dark goblin. I looked in my pockets for my pistol but all I found was some salt. I threw the salt at the goblin. I missed. Next the goblin pushed me and ran to my house and kidnapped my grandpa. And then I threw more salt at him he was to fast! then he ran into the woods. I chased him. And then I lost him. but I found my goblin locater and my pistol then I found the goblin. I put my things down he put grandpa down. We wrestled I beet him up! I untied grandpa we went home." Just wanted to share that with everyone! We thought it was pretty cute!

Hi everyone! Time is just flying! The snow is melting and spring is almost here!
I am so glad to be able to see my yard again. I have felt like white was the only color in the world. We have had a few days of rain and a LOT of wind this week, both of which have helped immensely in the melting of snow.
Jenna turned 9 months old yesterday. That's hard to believe. She is army crawling like a pro, sitting up for longer periods all the time (although she prefers to roll and crawl), and we're still waiting for any teeth. She is such a happy baby all the time. I am so grateful and blessed to have her as my daughter!
The boys are....well, still boys! :) Spencer is doing very well in school. He LOVES to read. I just started him on the Fablehaven series. The first night he read for almost two hours! He is such a good helper for me, too, with everything. He keeps the other two on task (mostly!) a lot of the time. His attitude seems to have more effect on Jacob and Ethan than either Curtis or I have.
Ethan is so excited to start kindergarten this fall. We are trying to work on his writing and letters, etc. So far, we've only mastered writing his first name. He knows the alphabet and some phonics. Ethan is a great helper with Jenna. He seems to have a deeper affection for her than the other two. He cannot walk past her without talking to or kissing or touching her. A lot of the time, it's too much for her but she's very patient with it all. He is showing an interest in the kitchen now, too. He always wants to help me cook.
Jacob loves to do whatever the other boys are doing. He is in Sunbeams this year and is doing ok now. He seems to have trouble with change. He had a sub in Primary a few weeks ago and he just stood against the wall and wouldn't do anything in class because she wasn't his usual teacher. Jacob loves to go to the store with me. I can always count on him to be my shopping partner.
Curtis is getting ready for planting season to start. He has about 8,000 acres that he oversees: the planting, watering, harvesting, etc. But he loves it all!
And I just try to keep up with everyone else...not really sure how well I'm doing! Lol. I am still plugging away at my medical transcription course; I am very close to finishing. I pray that I will be able to find a job when it's all said and done.
I love my boys! All of them! We have a lot of fun together. I am grateful for all the blessings the Lord has given me in my life.
I love you all so much and look forward to the reunion this summer!
